Using dedicated propeller design software integrated with 3D CAD, we carry out the hydrodynamic design, sizing and verification of open-water efficiency and propulsive performance for fixed-pitch propellers, from the preliminary calculation to the final machined blade geometry.
Propeller shafts, intermediate shafts and complete shafting systems are dimensioned in accordance with the classification society rules specified in the contract (RINA, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s Register and others), with preparation of the related technical specifications and class documentation.
We assist the customer in selecting the rudder configuration best suited to the vessel and its operating profile, and follow the project from hydrodynamic and structural design through to manufacture.
For any cast component in bronze, aluminium bronze or aluminium alloy — shaft brackets, stern tubes, couplings, sea chests, fittings — we deliver pattern-making, casting and finish machining to the customer’s drawings and specifications, with short lead times.
